Kempton Park SAPS received an anonymous tip-off on Tuesday of a man who is suspected to be breaking into cars in Kempton Park CBD.

The police followed the tip-off and found the suspect.

“The 40-year-old man was found on Wolff Street in possession of car break-in implements,” said Const Dipuo Ditshego, deputy spokesperson at Kempton Park SAPS.

“The implements included an Allen key, knife and gate remote. Kempton Park has had several incidents during the past months where cars, especially Nissan NP200s, were broken into in and around the CBD.”

Ditshego said there was a possibility of the suspect being linked to several incidents of vehicle break-ins.
