The metro police arrested two suspected drug dealers in Kempton Park central business district on Tuesday.
A foreign national (34) was found in possession of 12 small bags of dagga valued at R200, said metro police spokesperson, Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago.
He said officers reacted on a tip-off from concerned members of the community.
On Tuesday afternoon another foreign national was nabbed with nyope in his possession, Kgasago said.
He said they received a tip-off and drug enforcement unit members raided a house on Kempton Road around 3pm. A male suspect (29) with 19 packets of nyaope valued at about R800 was arrested. Cash amounting to R334, suspected to be proceeds from illicit drug peddling, was also confiscated.
Both suspects were detained at Kempton Park Police Station on charges of possession and dealing in drugs.
