Avoid Elgin Road on Saturday as fibre installations will disrupt traffic

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.

Motorists are urged to avoid Elgin Road on Saturday.

As part of fibre installations in Birchleigh, Elgin Road at the intersection with Olienhout Avenue will be closed for traffic to allow for cables to be installed across Elgin Road.

This means motorists will have to find alternative routes avoiding the Elgin Road subway from Pretoria Road, or travelling down Elgin Road towards Pretoria Road.

The road will be closed from 7am to 4pm, a spokesperson for Vumatel said.
