The City of Ekurhuleni, in collaboration with the Lizamore & Associates Mentorship Programme, calls on all artists to enter the prestigious, nationally acclaimed Thami Mnyele Fine Arts Awards’ 31st edition.
The artworks must have been completed in the 12 months preceding the date for the close of entries.
“We encourage artists who specialise in contemporary fine art, to start preparing their work while there is still time before the final submission dates. This is to allow everyone an opportunity to participate in the competition by submitting impressive artworks,” the member of the mayoral committee for community services, councillor Dora Mlambo, said.
Works may be submitted from August 21 to 23 between 9am and 7pm at the Coen Scholtz Recreation Centre in Mooifontein Road, Birchleigh North.
Entries may also be submitted at the Boksburg Library on August 21 between 9am and 4pm; the Springs Art Gallery on August 21 and 22 between 9am and 7pm, and at the Katlehong Art Centre, 203 Sontonga Street, Phooko Section on August 22 between 9am and 4pm.
The entry fee is R50 per artwork entered.
