“However, in order to ensure wide distribution of waste bins and effective waste collection, all residents who missed the initial mass roll of bins are urged to collect theirs no later than June 30,” said Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the metro.
The bins can be collected from the depot situated on the corner of H Lewis Road and Kelvin Street, Spartan, Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm and on Saturday from 8am to 3pm.
Residents must bring along a copy of their ID and municipal account statement.
Residents who make use of the bins are urged to place the bins outside their homes no later than 7am on waste collection calendar days provided by the city.
