Man arrested for selling dagga at Birch Acres Mall

The suspect was arrested for possessing and dealing in drugs. He will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate's Court soon.

A Norkem Park man (27) was arrested at Birch Acres Mall last week Friday for possessing and selling drugs.

According to Norkem Park SAPS spokesperson, Capt Lesibana Molokomme, the alleged drug dealer was nabbed by officers on duty who noticed the man and found him suspicious.

“They stopped and searched [the man]. They found seven packets of dagga weighing 18.25 grams,” said Molokomme. He added that the packets were ready to be sold.

The suspect will appear in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court on charges of possessing and dealing in dagga.
