Local matrics achieve 89.3% pass rate

Kempton Park matric learners did the city proud with an average pass rate of 89.3 per cent during the 2017 National Senior Certificate exams.

The national pass rate was 76.5 per cent.

Five of the smaller schools, which had less matriculants sitting for the exams, achieved a 100 pass rate.

These schools were Maranatha Christian School, Windsor House Academy, Panorama School, Elite Secondary College and Supero Private Combined School.

DA political head for Kempton Park and Tembisa, Refiloe Nt’sekhe, congratulated all the schools on their exceptional achievements.

Here are all the local schools’ pass rates with the number of learners who wrote the exams in brackets:
