THREE teenage boys wanted in connection with several armed cellphone robberies in and around the Norkem Park SAPS precinct were arrested in Tembisa on Monday night.

The three, two aged 17 and 16, were traced to different sections in Tembisa around 11pm by Norkem Park SAPS’ detective tracing unit.

Capt Lesibana Molokomme, Norkem Park SAPS spokesperson, said it was alleged the suspects were armed with knives during the robberies. They were taken to a place of safety in Soweto.

The latest robbery happened on November 24 at 11.15am on Maroela Street in Birchleigh, Molokomme added.

Their victims were mainly school children.
