THE bodies of two men who were found dumped in Bredell, one in a veld and the other in the dam, in August have been identified.

Kempton SAPS’s spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali, confirmed that the man whose body was found dumped in an open veld was identified on August 30.

Jabulane Doctor Kabinde’s (31) body was found on August 2 by a man walking past. Kabinde had bruises on his face and lower body. Rodents had already began feeding on his hands and nose.

He was wearing black trousers, a black t-shirt and a black lumber jacket that was branded L & E Plant Hire and Repairs CC. He wasn’t wearing shoes.

After seeing an article published in a national newspaper, Kabinde’s brother stepped forward and was able to positively identify his sibling’s body.

According to Mtshali, preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was kidnapped in Davetyon, apparently after an accident on July 30.

It is believed on the same day, Kabinde was driving his friend’s car when he was involved in a car accident. “It is alleged arguments ensued and the deceased was assaulted. His body was dumped later.”

Police are now looking for a group of men for questioning in connection with his death.

“We are still looking for the culprits and appeal to anyone who has information to come forward.”

Kabinde was living with his girlfriend in Daveyton.

On August 21, a second body of a man was found floating in the Bredell dam.

He was identified as 47-year-old December Tlaka.
