Another dry day for Glen Marais residents following damage to pipe

Glen Marais will be without water for a second day today after a major pipeline in the area had been damaged.

According to ward councillor Jaco Terblanche, Telkom damaged the pipe on the corner of Veld and Dann roads. Water is running down to Quinine Street.

He said the metro started repairs on Sunday, leaving Glen Marais without water for almost the whole day.

As repairs could not be finished yesterday, water has been shut down again today (Monday). The estimated time for water to be restored is between four and six hours.
