This is the major feat of Charles Edwards (77) of Van Riebeeck Park.

Born on August 22, 1939, in Bloemfontein, Charles was a dedicated sportsman throughout his school career at Grey College.

After school, he continued this trend and remained involved in various sporting codes. He was a rugby referee for several clubs, including BFX and Gauteng.

He tackled the Comrades Marathon a few times and was a member of Kempton Park Running Club for many years.

When the parkrun was initiated in Modderfontein in May 2014, he was eager to join and saw it as a new adventure and challenge.

True to his character, he continued running and on April 8 ran his 100th parkrun in Modderfontein, winning an incredible 99 runs.
