In the build-up to the 106th BMW SA Open Championship, which gets underway at Glendower Golf Club today, a Pro-Am event was held at the club, followed by a gala dinner and prize-giving at Emperors Palace on Tuesday.
The second oldest national Open golf event in the world, the SA Open Championship, this year sponsored by BMW and hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni, will be played at Glendower Golf Club from January 12 to 15.
Among the special guests in attendance at the dinner were the Gauteng Premier, David Makhura, Peermont Deputy CEO, Thabo Mokoena, Ekurhuleni MMC for Sport Recreation, Arts and Culture, Clr Dora Mlambo and Gauteng MEC for Sport, Arts, Culture and recreation, Faith Mazibuko.
