Man stable after being stabbed on Green Avenue

AN Edleen resident is in a stable condition in hospital after being stabbed several times in an incident on Green Avenue in Edleen at about 2.30pm on Thursday afternoon.

According to Morné le Grange of Alpha Security they responded to messages stating there was a man on Green Avenue without a shirt, bleeding heavily.

“Hannes and Jaco Volschenk, members of our crime prevention team, responded immediately. Upon arrival Jaco tended to the victim while Hannes left the scene to help with the search for the suspects,” Le Grange said.

Alpha Security reaction officer Iphriam Boyama joined the search, as well as the metro police and police. The metro police and Hannes managed to arrest two suspects and brought them back to the scene.

According to Le Grange a knife was found on the scene, assuming it was the weapon used by the suspects to stab the victim several times. ER24 was contacted and transported the victim to Tembisa Hospital.
