A truck stuck under the Elgin Road bridge on Tuesday afternoon again caused huge traffic delays for motorists.

The truck was coming up Elgin Road and nearly made it through. However, it was not te be.

Although proper signage has been erected by the metro, truck drivers just do not seem to take any heed. “It is worth a try,” they seem to think.

A truck driver spotted some weeks ago, coming down Elgin Road, realised just in time he was not going to get through. However, that did not completely solve the problem.

Without hesitation, it started to reverse back up the steep encline until it could make a U-turn and go up Elgin Road.
