AN emergency water shutdown between 8pm tonight and 3am on Wednesday morning will affect various Kempton Park suburbs.
The shutdown comes as a result of the one scheduled for last week Thursday (January 28) not taking place due to “unforeseen technical challenges” experienced on site, the metro said.
Areas that will be affected are the CBD, Rhodesfield, Kempton Park extensions, Aston Manor, Nimrod Park, Allen Grove, Glen Erasmia, Glen Marais, Pomona and Bredell.
The shutdown is necessary to replace valves at Willow and Kingfisher streets, as well as to do pipe repairs at the corner of Albatross and Gladiator streets.
Water tankers will not be supplied as the operation is at night.
